the adventures of natalie and taylor :) take two!

natalie and i set out for downtown charleston. we were hoping to find this historic building where you can try on all the old clothes.. we didn't find it this time, but we did make it to the old exchange building. it was SO cool! all of the old architecture. we were able to take a tour of the provost dungeons. it was really cool. i learned a lot about charleston, too. after that we just walked around downtown charleston. :) then we got hungry so we grabbed a little caesars pizza and a milkshake from chickfila and headed to the james island county park! we ate lunch, and then (yes, we really did) we played on the playground, and we rode bikes. it was so much fun! then later that night we went to my friend's pool. :) a great day! can't wait for our next "adventure".

my favorite room! ;) i wanted to play that piano sooo badly, but i wasn't allowed :( boo

the great hall. george washington danced there. :)

in the dungeon

really cool brickwork. 2.5 million bricks in the dungeon alone.

stairs coming down to the sea wall but theyre no longer connected.

waterfront park :) ..wish i would've remembered to charge my big camera :(

the adventures of natalie and taylor :)

thursday morning natalie and i pulled out of my driveway, unsure of where we would go, so we started off towards a favorite spot - the lighthouse :) we walked along the beach and then back to the car and decided to go to the south carolina aquarium in downtown charleston. but along the way we decided that we were hungry, and of course we went to chickfila.. i mean, where else would you go?! lol i got a kids meal, of course. you get to trade your toy for ice cream! :D ..unless it's really cool, but their toys are usually educational and who wants that? ..not me! hahaha. jk. after chickfila we went to the aquarium. it was so cool. first we went into "the mountain exhibit." when you walked in you walked through a mist and there were aquariums and then further along we found a sea otter. so cute :) we walked around all the exhibits, took pictures lots of pictures, watched a dive show (where they feed the fish and clean the tank) and then played in the toddler area...no joke. but we had fun, so that's what matters! here are a few pics from the day :)

<3 folly beach <3

biggest turtle i have ever seen!

deep sea tank. it doesn't look as big as it really is. it goes all the way around and even up higher than it looks, too.

we were waiting for the dive show to start :)

they had sea otter masks in the gift shop ;)

my first blog post :)

i created this blog before i came to college, thinking that i would update it every week.. FALSE. never happens. so here i am, the end of my freshman year. it's the week of finals. i should be studying, but yet, i finally decided i would make a blog post. :) this has been an amazing first year of college. made some amazing new friends and made new memories with my best friend! there have been stressful times, some tears, but also lots of great times and many laughs...and tears from laughing :) this year what i've learned most is that through all of these times...good and bad, God is good! i can't even begin to tell you all of the amazing things God has done! it has been awesome to be a part of lancaster baptist church and be involved in the ministry here. i have been able to lead 3 souls to the Lord and help with serving for banquets, teaching sunday school, wed night kids Bible study, playing the piano, taking pictures.. it's an awesome place to train for the ministry! i can't wait to see what God has in store! here are a few pictures from this year :)
the last two are my favorite. this is from big day on bus. this is after one service. all of these kids made great decisions for the Lord. most of them being salvation. there were literally hundreds saved that weekend. so amazing! well i guess i should get some studying done now!
